The Grete Rehor Prize in the STEM and digitalisation category in the amount of € 2,500 was donated by the Federal Ministry of Finance. The award honoured Ruth Breu's long-standing commitment to gender equality in the fields of digitalisation and Computer Science as well as her contribution to breaking down gender stereotypes in the IT sector.
Also on 20 November 2023, quantum physicist Francesca Ferlaino was awarded the Women's State Prize for her contribution to gender equality in quantum physics.
