Jan Beutel worked as a senior researcher and group leader with Lothar Thiele at the Computer Engineering and Networks Lab (TIK) at ETH Zurich and at the National Competence Centre for Research in Mobile Information and Communication Systems NCCR MICS.
A very current and exciting research project is PermaSense. Our new colleague is giving the mountains a voice so that they can be warned of rockfalls in good time.
