After the welcoming words of the Dean of Studies, Prof Dr Thomas Franosch, DI Hansjörg Haller gave an exciting insight into his career as founder and CEO of InfPro IT Solutions GmbH, a spin-off of the Department of Computer Science. Hansjörg Haller was part of the first cohort of students at the Department of Computer Science, which was re-established in 2001, founded his company in 2004 and completed his Master's degree in 2006. In his review, he not only talked about the varied early years of his company foundation, but also gave interesting insights into the DNA of a software company that today has over 100 employees and develops extremely successful software products for the logistics sector. Hansjörg Haller emphasised the value of lively cooperation between companies and universities in the region.
After the colloquium, the band "The Non Abelian Group" surprised and delighted the guests with their performance. Thanks to the warm summer evening, the event came to a very pleasant and sociable conclusion on the forecourt of the Victor-Franz-Hess-Haus.
The guests agreed that the MIP Faculty Alumni Event should take place again next year.
