Infor­ma­tion about the start of your stud­ies

Our Student Affairs Officer, Peter Thoman, summarises the most important information for students regarding the winter semester 2022/2023.

Dear students,

As the winter semester approaches, we would like to briefly summarise some important information in this message.

  • [The registration deadline for all courses (PS, SE and VU) and for the SL 'Introduction to Theoretical Computer Science' ends on Wednesday, 21 September 2022.
  • [Registrationfor Computer Science bridge course is currently still possible. Participation is recommended for all those who do not yet have any programming knowledge or experience in working with UNIX systems.
  • [The introduction to studying at the MIP will take place on 3 October. It is organised via the course 706000 EiS course.
  • [For Bachelor students] There is an enormous rush for those subjects that are explicitly listed as'Selected Chapters' in the Bachelor curriculum. We would like to point out here that any courses from the MIP offer (Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics) can be attended for this module!
  • [Further general information about the programme can be found in the section Guidelines on the Computer Science website.

  • [For everyone] The registration deadline for all courses with continuous assessment (PS, SE and VU) and for the SL "Introduction to Theoretical Computer Science" ends on Wednesday, 2022-09-21.
  • [For first-year students] Registration for the Bridge Course Computer Science is currently still possible. Participation is recommended for all those who do not yet have any programming knowledge or experience with UNIX systems.
  • [For first-year students] An introductory event to studying at the MIP department at UIBK will be held on the3rd of October. It is managed via the course 706000 EiS.
  • [For Bachelor students] There is an enormous demand for subjects explicitly listed as'Selected Chapters' in the Bachelor curriculum. We would like to point out here that any courses offered within the MIP department (mathematics, computer science, physics) is valid for this module!
  • [For everyone] Further general information on the study programmes can be found in the Guidelines section on the Computer Science website.
