The day began at 13:00 with the "Open Institute": we invited students, especially first-semester students, into our laboratories to show them what we are researching. They also had the opportunity to find out more about studying abroad.
At 17:00, the "Computer Science Live" event was opened by the head of the institute, Prof Breu. This was followed by the keynote speech by Prof Schahram Dustdar (TU Vienna): "Edge Intelligence - Engineering the New Fabric of IoT, Edge, and Cloud".
The last official item on the programme was the presentation of the Best Bachelor and Best Master Awards and the presentation of the winning theses:
- Thomas Oberroither received the Best Bachelor Award for his work "SWAp - A Student Wishlist Application".
- Chris Engelhardt and Jakob Mittelberger received the Best Master Award for their work "Capsule Networks for 3D point clouds analysis,reconstruction and robot affordances".
