From 2 p.m. onwards, students had the opportunity to get to know the work areas of our research groups as part of the "Open Institute" program and discover connections to their own areas of interest. They also had the chance to learn more about studying abroad.
At 5 p.m., the event continued in the main lecture hall. Following the welcoming remarks by the head of out department, Prof. Dr. Thomas Fahringer, Prof. Dr. Hans Jürgen Briegel from the Department of Theoretical Physics delivered the keynote.
Then the winners of the best Bachelor's and Master's theses awards of the 2024/25 academic year gave their presentations:
- Best Bachelor Award for Karl Mitterhauser: “dARk Walking”
- Best Master Award for Marko Zaric: “Effect-driven Action Prototype Learning through Action Space Discretization”
Congratulations again!
As usual the inday students concluded with a get-together in the foyer of the lecture hall.
