We are pleased to announce that our LSU team is growing.

Juan Cuevas Durán is a University Assistant and PhD researcher at LSU, the Lightweight Structures Unit, University of Innsbruck, which he joined in September 2025. His research explores how natural materials can be integrated into lightweight structures through computational modelling and material-driven construction.

Combining academic teaching with former field-based practice in Southeast Asia, he is interested in the challenges of assembling raw natural materials by understanding their irregularities and the realities of on-site assembly.
