Twisted Clouds
Harmonizing nature, architecture, structure, and user experience by elastically bending and twisting plywood trips. This large-scale prototype showcases the potentials of our bent and twisted spatial structures. The projects is based on the PhD research projects of Fereshteh Khojastehmehr and Mohammad Hassan Saleh Tabari under the supervision of Prof. Günther H. Filz at the Lightweight Structures Unit (LSU), Faculty of Architecture, University of Innsbruck. The generation of the bent and twisted strips is based on the numerical method explained in our latest paper, A-T-G Louvers Paper and in Cognitive_multi-pattern Paper. The structural analysis was performed using Karamba3D by Clemens Preisinger.
