Release of LSU Plugin for Rhino/Grasshopper!

We are proud to announce the release of the LSU Plugin, developed by Morteza Khorsandnikoo at LSU, the Lightweight Structures Unit at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Innsbruck, headed by Günther H. Filz.

The plugin integrates seamlessly into the Rhino / Grasshopper environment and enables the generation and simulation of tensegrity structures. It opens up new opportunities for architects, engineers, and researchers to explore innovative lightweight systems based on tensegrity principles.

The LSU Plugin offers a robust framework for studying, analyzing, and developing structural forms grounded in force equilibrium – supporting both research and teaching in architecture, lightweight structures, and computational design.

Its mathematical and algorithmic foundations are derived from the book: Computational Modeling of Tensegrity Structures by Buntara Sthenly Gan (Springer).

We are very excited to share this tool with the community and look forward to feedback and seeing how it inspires new ideas and applications!
