Funding strategy of Förderkreis 1669
The funding strategy developed by Förderkreis 1669 serves as the basis for funding decisions. The strategy has been agreed upon until 2027.
1669 Prototype development
We finance an annual tender for the construction of prototypes so that good ideas can be tested for their practical suitability. Thereby, we promote transferring theory into practice.
Visiting professorships
Every year, we invite international professors from a wide range of disciplines to teach and conduct research in Innsbruck. In this way, we promote language skills and the broadening of horizons.
MINT Summer Technology Centre
The MINT Summer Technology Centre was founded in 2017 and aims to inspire and promote young women interested in MINT degree programmes and the MINT (Mathematics, Computer Science, Natural Sciences and Technology) career field.
Priority calls
Every year, we invite applicants to develop ideas on a specific topic. In 2025, the focus was on climate, environmental and species protection and sustainability. In 2026, the focus is on equal social opportunities, diversity and inclusion.
Quality and excellence projects
At the request of the Rectorate, we support personnel and infrastructure projects that improve the quality of teaching, research and third mission projects. The goal: We want to be one of the 100 best universities in the world.
