Encyclopaedia Iranica presented by Prof. Touraj Daryaee

On Thursday, November 27, 2025, Prof. Touraj Daryaee from the University of California, Irvine, presented the redesign and editing of the Encyclopaedia Iranica at the University of Innsbruck to an interested audience in his capacity as editor-in-chief. He discussed the website, introduced the editorial team, and gave a lecture on the history of this well-known and established reference work. In an interesting and lively exchange, various aspects of the Encyclopaedia Iranica were considered and suggestions from the audience were discussed in detail. The event was organized by the Entangled Antiquities doctoral college, and Prof. Robert Rollinger from the Department of Ancient History and Ancient Near Eastern Studies, acting as deputy spokesperson for the doctoral college, gave the introduction and presented the speaker.
