Gastvortrag Salvatore Gaspa

On 20 May 2026, a guest lecture took place as part of the Entangled Antiquities doctoral programme, organised by fellow Valentina Cambruzzi. Dr Salvatore Gaspa from the University of Padua spoke about rituals in Mesopotamia, demonstrating his expertise in Assyriology. Rituals of war, rituals of peace and the definition of ritual were discussed in the open discussion. The title of the lecture was: ‘Rituals of War, Rituals of Peace: Problems and Perspectives in the Study of the Ritual Dimension in Assyria.’
