Against a backdrop of classical antiquities, the exhibition presents mail art created during the 2021 lockdown and the corresponding texts. In the spring of 2021, twenty-seven young artists of the Chelsea College of Arts in London, not able to access the locked-up studios at their art academy, created small artworks in the form of postcards. These finally reached the University of Innsbruck by post, where they offered the young scientists at the Department of Art History a welcome opportunity to "work with the original", but also for experimental approaches. With an exhibition display, developed especially for the show and set amidst the plaster casts from the Innsbruck Archaeological Museum, the Faculty of Architecture also participates in Postcards from Isolation.

“Postcards from Isolation“ is an exhibition of the Department of Art History and the MA Fine Art 2020/21 of the Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London, in the Archaeological Museum Innsbruck (University Main Building) – supported by the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Innsbruck
