Incidents of sexual harassment as a form of discrimination are unfortunately a reality in all large organisations. The University of Innsbruck as a place to study and work is not exempt from this.
Those affected can ask for help at the luis:a locations in acute situations.
The trained staff provide a "protected space", listen to them impartially and provide information about internal and external support options.
Accessible "first aid" in the event of sexual harassment
Employees are confident in dealing with situations of harassment
Raising awareness of sexualised discrimination and abuse of power

All students, employees and individuals on the university campus who are affected by sexual harassment at the university.
Employees trained for such situations offer first support in acute situations at the luis:a spots and inform those affected about internal and external contact points.
- People who feel they have been sexually harassed can ask for help at the luis:a locations.
- The trained staff provide those affected with a "protected space", listen to them impartially and provide information about internal and external support options.
- Those affected should not be left alone. At their request, for example, family or friends will be informed, belongings will be collected from the campus, an escort to a taxi will be organised or - in an emergency and if requested by the person concerned - the police will be informed.
IMPORTANT: Employees should not take on any counselling activities beyond the acute situation, but rather provide a "first aid offer" (protection and/or support, information material, etc. about professional support options).
