Curriculum vitae:
Anna-Rosa Kürschner is a research assistant and doctoral candidate at the Institute for Business Informatics, Production Management, and Logistics at the University of Innsbruck. Her research interests lie in the fields of green information systems and behavioural research. Before pursuing her doctorate, she completed a dual bachelor’s degree in Scientific Programming (Aachen University of Applied Sciences) and an apprenticeship as a mathematical-technical software developer, working for several years as a software consultant in airport optimization. In the summer of 2023, she completed her master’s degree in Information Systems at the University of Innsbruck, where her master’s thesis examined information avoidance among consumers specifically, the extent to which users avoid sustainable product information in order to choose conventional products.
In her doctoral research, she focuses on Green Information Systems, particularly eco-apps and chatbots, to explain why pro-environmental attitudes and the use of Green Information Systems often do not lead to lasting, sustainable behavior and how this could be improved. She combines qualitative analyses (interviews, Q-methodology, topic modelling) with quantitative experiments.
