Library card
For Use of the library you need a valid library card:
Students: Your student card is your library card.
Staff: Apply for your library card via VIS:Online/ My Forms / Application for ULB Special Conditions and pick it up with a valid photo ID at the customer service desk in Main library, the SoWi Library or the Library Centre West.
Account / Login Library Account:
Students: Activate your student card as a library card at i-med.inside.
Staff: Apply for your library card via i-med.inside, we will notify you by e-mail as soon as your card is ready for collection.
Account / Login library account: with your q-identifier:
Students: Activate your MCI Student Card as a library card under my.mci4me.at (Profile > Privacy > ULB)

From the age of 16 (minimum age) we issue a library card free of charge. Please fill out the online application and come to the customer service desk with an official photo ID (Mon to Fri from 8 am to 5 pm) to activate your account and have your library card issued.
Persons under 18 years of age need a Declaration of liability of the legal guardian(s) when picking up their library card.

We will be happy to issue you with a new library card. Your access data (ID and password) remain the same.
The cost of15 euros will be charged to your library account and can be paid at the pay machine or by bank transfer (University of Innsbruck, Kostensätze, IBAN: AT16 5700 0210 1113 0640, BIC: HYPTAT22, reason for payment: KE151281).
