Library card
You will need a valid library card to use the services of the library:
University employees
- University of Innsbruck: Application via Account Service of the ZID (Optional Services)
- Medical University: Application via i-med.inside (Opt-in instructions)
- MCI: Please contact bibliothek@mci.edu
Students
- University of Innsbruck: Student ID = library card, login with university ID
- Medical University: Activation via i-med.inside.
- MCI: Activation via my.mci4me.at(Profile > Privacy > ULB)
Private individuals, school pupils, members of other universities
We will issue you with a library card free of charge if you are at least 16 years old. Please fill in the Online applicationand bring a valid photo ID with you. Visit our customer service desk (Monday to Friday, 8:00-17:00) to activate your account and receive your library card.
Account / Login library account:
- Your library ID begins with XN...
- You can set your own password when you apply.
People under the age of 18 require a Declaration of liability by the legal guardian(s) when collecting their library card.
FAQs about the library card
- You can obtain the card by presenting a valid photo ID at the customer service desk of the Main Library, the SoWi Library or the Faculty Library of Technology.
- Persons under the age of 18 require a valid photo ID when collecting the card. Declaration of liability by the legal guardian(s).
We will be happy to issue you with a new library card. Your access data (ID and password) will remain the same.
The cost of15 euros will be charged to your library account and can be paid at the pay machine or by bank transfer (University of Innsbruck, Cost Rates, IBAN: AT16 5700 0210 1113 0640, BIC: HYPTAT22, reason for payment: KE151281).
