Teaching Academic Writing

Writing is part of subject socialisation and academic writing skills are trained in the disciplines. At the same time, the development of writing skills benefits from interdisciplinary exchange across subject boundaries.

At the Writing Centre, we do not only support students with our own formats, but also aim to contribute to the further development of writing intensive teaching and writing culture at the university. There are various ways we do this:

If you invite us to one of your courses, we will come and introduce the Writing Centre to the students.

We will work with you to organise a writing-related element in your course (on topics such as: Taking notes; From reading to writing; Planning the writing process; Using writing methods in a targeted way).

We can also support you in the development of writing intensive courses.
