What we want to achieve and what we are committed to
We are committed to making the University of Innsbruck more ecologically, economically and socially sustainable. Our main concerns are the responsible use of natural resources, raising awareness of key issues for the future of our society and creating an open and inclusive place.
Educational institutions such as the University of Innsbruck have an important responsibility to educate future generations in the problems of the future and to prepare them for the corresponding challenges. With access to the latest research and scientific knowledge, the University of Innsbruck has a responsibility to act in a forward-thinking manner and thus act as a role model in society. We support the University in fulfilling this responsibility and actively pursuing it.
Our goals
- Promoting a sustainable awareness in studies, teaching, research and administration
- Initiating and supporting specific sustainability projects at the university
- Networking and collaboration with students, employees and the general public
- Creating educational programmes and information platforms on the topic of sustainability
- Contributing to the structural anchoring of sustainability-related topics at the University of Innsbruck
- Representing the student perspective on sustainability-related topics
