Since 1991, the Department of Archaeology’s work at the Municipium Claudium Aguntum has positioned itself as a bridge between Classical (Roman) Archaeology and Provincial Roman Archaeology. The research program focuses on archaeological fieldwork and material culture studies, while the human legacy is examined using scientific and cultural-anthropological methods.
