Interested in gaining insight into the cultural and linguistic diversity of the American double continent? The minor Inter-American Studies offers exciting perspectives on English- and Romance-speaking America!

The Minor Inter-American Studies is interdisciplinary in nature and gives you the opportunity to study the Anglophone and Romance (primarily Spanish and French-speaking) literatures, cultures and media of the Americas, i.e. North, Central and South America and the Caribbean. On the one hand, you will deal with specific cultural areas such as the USA, Canada, Mexico or Argentina, and on the other hand, you will gain an insight into central aspects of transnational and transcultural interrelationships and exchange processes between the Americas. The languages of instruction are English and German; knowledge of Spanish and French is an advantage.
