All of these applications have been reviewed in accordance with data protection laws to ensure that personal data is processed in compliance with data protection principles and that its security and integrity are guaranteed.
Would you like to use a tool that is not provided by the ZID?
As a general rule, only applications and IT systems introduced by the university should be used, particularly from a data protection perspective. In most cases, the ZID will be able to offer an alternative, which mustthen be used.
If there is no alternative service, you as the user are responsible for complying with data protection regulations, and the data protection coordination team will be happy to assist you.
If the ZID cannot offer an alternative solution: What should be taken into account when using IT systems not introduced by the university?
- Compliance with data protection principles in accordance with Art. 5 GDPR
- Avoidance or reduction of the entry of personal data, in particular sensitive data
- No entry of confidential information
- No data transfer or storage outside the EU
- Appropriate security measures in place to protect personal data from destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or unauthorized access (TOMs – technical and organizational measures)
