Universität Innsbruck offers an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP) which combines:
- a Winter School in Innsbruck: 23-27 February 2026
- online sessions during the summer semester 2026
Participants can choose between two parallel Ukranian language courses:
- Level 1: Beginners (no prior knowledge) - introduction to Ukranian as a foreign language and basic communication skills;
- Level 2: Advanced (conversational focus) - for students with previous knowledge of Ukranian who wish to improve fluency, vocabulary and speaking confidence.
Languages of instruction: English and Ukranian; all Ukranian language classes are taught by native speakers.
What you can expect:
- structured courses in Ukranian as a foreign language on two levels,
- insights into Ukraine's history, society, literature and culture in a European context,
- work in international, interdisciplinary groups and networking in the field of Ukranian Studies,
- a guided tour in Innsbruck and the opportunity to experience a university city in the heart of the Alps.
As part of the Winter School, on 26-27 February 2026 participants will also have the opportunity to take part in the Multilingual Conference "Developing Multilingualism and Fostering Reflective Skills, Intercultural and Transcultural Learning in Language Education", where students are welcome to join discussions, workshops and other activities.
How to apply:
Students must be nominated by their home university to apply for the course.
