The Centres for Area Studies – France Focus, Italy Centre, Eastern Europe Centre, Centre for Inter-American Studies, and Centre for Canadian Studies – have been incorporated into a new successor structure, the Network of Areas (NoA). The Network of Areas (NoA) is an interdisciplinary collaboration platform within the research focus “Cultural Encounters – Cultural Conflicts” at Universität Innsbruck. It brings together scholarly perspectives on selected world regions and examines socially relevant issues as well as regional challenges. Through partnerships and innovative formats, NoA promotes international exchange in research, teaching, and societal engagement. The following websites of the former Centres for Area Studies have been archived as of 1 May 2025 and are no longer maintained.
