Academic Hiring Procedure in a Nutshell

  1. Position Approval and Job Posting
    The position is approved and advertised internationally.
  2. Application Submission
    Applicants submit their documents on time. The appointment committee reviews all applications.
  3. Expert Reviews and Shortlisting
    Independent expert reviews are commissioned, and suitable candidates are shortlisted for hearings.
  4. Hearings and Nomination Proposal
    Candidates present themselves in hearings. The appointment committee prepares a nomination proposal.
  5. Decision and Appointment
    The Rector conducts negotiations, makes the final decision, and signs the contract with the selected candidate.

  • A teaching statement (teaching concept/philosophy)
