Semantic Modelling in Archaeology, Information Integration, Ontology
In order to develop a conceptual modelling approach how to represent archaeological information in a knowledge graph we go through three steps. The first is to gather the concepts used in our research field of mining archaeology and order them in a thesaurus. The second step is to represent archaeological excavation and survey data with CIDOC CRM and extensions and the third step is to represent thesaurus and CRM modelling in RDF and implement them in a knowledge graph using RDF star and named graphs. For this purpose an RDF creation pipeline was developed.
