Alpine Archaology & History of Resources
We explore human presence in the Alpine region from the Palaeolithic to the present day. We draw on remote sensing, archaeological surveys, geophysical prospecting techniques and excavations, as well as the analysis of archaeological finds and historical sources in archives, to gain an understanding of human interaction with mountain environments and diverse regional resources. Close collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines is essential to our research and an indispensable part of our projects.
