CV
Silvia Corradi studied Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Trento, where she also obtained a Ph.D. in Comparative and European Legal Studies with a dissertation in philosophy of law. After completing her doctorate, she worked at the Department of Law of the University of Palermo as postdoctoral fellow (“assegnista di ricerca”). Her formation is enriched by research stays and participation in training courses at various European Universities.
Her research interests in philosophy of law focus on two main areas that intersect with legal studies: technology and ethics. The first area encompasses philosophy of science, philosophy of technoscience, philosophy of technology and the regulation of artificial intelligence. The second includes legal ethics, metaethics, virtue ethics, virtue jurisprudence, virtue epistemology and legal rhetoric.
At the Institut für Theorie und Zukunft des Rechts she will develop a research project on A.I. systems and human vulnerability, supported by the FemCareer Fellowship awarded by the University of Innsbruck. She will investigate the invisible risks associated with the use of A.I. systems and their impact on vulnerable individuals, with particular attention to both the legal framework and ethical normative theories.
