Summary of the project
The Austrian project investigates the possibilities of a detailed indoor air quality assessment (including these mechanisms in a possibly simplified form), with little effort and with existing simulation tools, in order to extend the current assessment methods based on CO2 and humidity. The focus is on the modelling of particulate matter and formaldehyde concentrations.
The new calculation methods and evaluation metrics will be used to investigate innovative ventilation concepts in order to derive concrete planning instructions for the implementation of compact and cost-effective ventilation solutions for residential buildings.
