This project aims to strengthen and sustainably stabilise transnational cooperation between companies and research institutions in the field of modern façade systems with a focus on energy efficiency, comfort and health. Stakeholders and companies are to be supported in coping with planning requirements through modern façade systems.

The core objectives are

  • the establishment of a cross-border competence centre for modern façade systems in order to build up expertise and exchange know-how between research institutions and companies
  • and to improve existing simulation, measurement and testing methods in order to quantify the added value of advanced façade systems.

The competence centre will be set up using a bottom-up approach thanks to transnational stakeholders. Workshops, training courses and conferences will be organised to disseminate expertise across the region.

This project will

  • establish a cross-border competence centre
  • build a bridge between practitioners, planners and researchers, and
  • strengthen the competitiveness of companies for high-quality and efficient façade products. As a result, technical expertise will be visible both regionally and at European and international level.

The competence network is thus preparing an attractive supra-regional market for innovative façade construction.
