Field of work: Simulation of heat pumps, CFD simulations, compact unit test bench, measurement technology
William Monteleone studied energy engineering at the University of Trento and completed his PhD entitled “Development and Optimization of Decentralized Small-Scale Heat Pumps for New and Renovated Residential Buildings through Simulations and Experiments” under the supervision of Assoz.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Fabian Ochs at the University of Innsbruck. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Unit for Energy Efficient Building.
His research interests focus on the simulation and experimentally supported development and optimization of compact, low-noise small-scale heat pumps for space heating and hot water production.
He is involved in courses in architecture, civil engineering, and environmental engineering on the topics of building simulation, acoustics, moisture transport, thermodynamics, and control engineering.
