The building of the Faculty of Business and Management of the University of Innsbruck is located in the city centre of Innsbruck. Walk to the famous "Goldenes Dachl" in just four minutes or take the gondola two minutes away to the 2,500 m high Nordkette. Whether you are on top of a mountain or inside our modern facility, visitors love Innsbruck and our impressive building. We are located just ten minutes from Innsbruck's main railway station. From Innsbruck Airport, a taxi will take you to us within 15 minutes.
If you are driving to Innsbruck from the west (Switzerland, Vorarlberg) or east (Salzburg, Munich), take the A 12 highway. Leave the highway at the "Innsbruck West" exit. This exit will take you onto Egger-Lienz Strasse. Keep left and turn left onto Holzhammerstraße. Then turn immediately right onto Innrain in the direction of the university hospital. Follow the Innrain until after the old town on your right. About 150 metres after the Altstadt, turn right into Herrengasse, a one-way street. At the end of this street you will be facing the Landestheater. Our faculty is located directly behind the Landestheater. Park in the underground car park on your left.
If you arrive by train, get off at the Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof station. From the station you can either take a taxi or walk to us as follows: Leave the station building and walk to the right until you reach Museumstrasse. Turn left onto Museumstrasse. Turn right at the first intersection into Sillgasse. Follow this street over the first intersection and you will find yourself at the forecourt of our faculty. It will take you about ten minutes to walk this distance.
Take bus line "F", which leaves directly in front of the airport, to the "Landesmuseum" stop. From there, turn right into Angerzellgasse. Follow this street until you reach Universitätsstrasse. Turn right onto Universitätsstrasse. The faculty is located on the left side of the street.
Accommodation Information
The venue of the Open Strategy Workshop is loctaed in the city center of Innsbruck close to the Railway Station and surrounded by many Hotels. We advise Workshop participants to book their Hotels and Accommodation soon as June is a travel-righ time in Tyrol. For affordable accommodations participants can either book via an Innsbruck Tourism Booking Link which lists Hotels in between 5-20 minutes walking distance from the venue, or alternatively search via e.g., Booking.com.
We would also like to draw attention to the free “Welcome Card” guest card: guests staying for two nights or more will receive this card directly from partner hotels, allowing them to use public transport in the Innsbruck region free of charge.
