Innsbruck is connected to major European motorways arriving from the north (Western Europe and Germany via Munich), from the south (Italy via Verona), from the west (Switzerland via Zurich) and from the east (Hungary via Vienna).

*From Germany: Via A93 (Kufstein) or toll-free via Seefeld (Garmisch-Partenkirchen) or via Fernpass and A7 motorway.

Innsbruck’s main railway station is located at Südtiroler Platz, within easy walking distance to the city centre and the University. The city is connected to the European Inter-City railway network, daily trains reach Innsbruck from all over Europe, e.g., regular and frequent direct connections to:
