During the Application a one-time confirmation of the amount of $14.500 per semester must be submitted. This is a visa requirement and therefore mandatory; however this amount does not need to remain in the specified account until the end of the exchange.**
*The expected tuition fees depend on various factors and can therefore only be estimated. More information can be found under Outgoing > Preparation > Preliminary Course Selection.
**More information can be found under Outgoing > Application > Documentation of Financial Support and Letter from Bank
A key requirement for participating in the exchange is the transferability of the courses completed abroad. In principle, students can take any course offered by UNO, meaning that students whose fields of study are not offered at UNO are also eligible to participate. However, to complete a degree, students must fulfill specific ECTS requirements and complete certain mandatory courses. For these LFUI courses, an equivalent must be found in UNO's course catalog.
Electives are particularly well-suited for an exchange, so it’s advisable to keep these open.*
*More information can be found under Outgoing > Preparation > Course Selection and Credit Transfer.
New Orleans is located in a subtropical climate zone, meaning that students can expect hot summers with high humidity and mild winters. Buildings, including those at the University of New Orleans, are typically equipped with air conditioning to ensure comfort indoors.
The region's unique ecosystems supports a variety of wildlife exotic to Europeans, including reptiles like turtles or alligators and insects tend to be larger than in Austria. While these creatures are typically more common in nature or outdoor areas and less frequent in the urban center or on campus, they may be encountered from time to time. There are plenty of resources available for students to learn more about the local environment and how to coexist with its natural inhabitants.
Exchange Experiences
Wie sich der Kulturschock mindern lässt
IWW, Akademisches Jahr 2017/18
zugutekommt."
Privateer Place - Pro und Kontra
Politikwissenschaften/Englisch, Spring Semester 2018
New Orleans geblieben.
Lehramt Englisch & Geographie, Fall Semester 2016
So bleiben jetzt
Accounting, Auditing & Taxation; Fall Semester 2016
herauszufiltern. "
