Join us!
As a member of our group, you will investigate atomically defined nanostructures at surfaces, combining molecular design and on-surface synthesis with atomic-scale characterization. You will gain expertise in scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM), including cryogenic and ultra-high-vacuum techniques, to probe structural, electronic, and charge-transfer properties with atomic resolution.
If you are interested in working in our group, please contact Prof. Laerte Patera directly via email.
Bachelor & Master Thesis Projects
Undergraduate and graduate students with background in Chemistry or Physics are welcome to join the group for Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis projects at any time of the year.
Projects are closely connected to our ongoing research activities and can be tailored to match your individual interests and background.
PhD students and Postdocs
Fully funded PhD and Postdoc positions are advertised as they become available. Highly qualified and motivated candidates are also encouraged to apply at any time. We are happy to support outstanding applicants in identifying suitable funding opportunities and preparing competitive fellowship applications.
