All data on Fileshare should be downloaded and transferred to UNIverse by 30 June (students) or 31 July (employees). The ZID can provide support if required.

Information on the Discontinuation of Fileshare

"Fileshare", the previous data storage platform of the university, will be deactivated in summer. Employees and students are requested to transfer their data stored there to the new data storage platform UNIverse. Students have until 30 June 2026 to do this; the deadline for employees is 31 July 2026.

The ZID would like to inform you that our previous data storage platform "Fileshare" will be discontinued this summer. The aim is to make the transition to the successor product UNIverse as smooth as possible.

Time schedule

  • From 30.06.2026: Fileshare will no longer be available for students
  • From 31.07.2026: Fileshare will no longer be available for employees.

Please plan the transfer of your data in good time. We recommend transferring the data to UNIverse, an open source platform for cloud storage and collaboration (based on Nextcloud) that all students and employees of the University of Innsbruck can use.

Instructions for the data transfer
