In 2027, Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) will once again support academic research projects related to Taiwan, with a duration of 3 to 12 months.
The fellowship is open to foreign professors, associate professors, assistant professors, postdoctoral researchers, doctoral students, as well as students enrolled in relevant doctoral programs at universities abroad. Researchers of comparable standing at academic institutions worldwide are also eligible to apply.
Funded research projects in Taiwan may focus on topics such as Taiwan’s political and economic situation, integrated diplomacy, the security of undersea cables, the resilience of global supply chains, combating disinformation, gender equality, cross-strait relations, the Asia-Pacific region, and Sinology.
