LTRGI at LTRC2025 in Bangkok

Three members of our team participated in the Language Testing Research Colloquium (LTRC 2025). LTRC is the annual conference of the International Language Testing Association (ILTA) and perhaps one of the most important annual fixtures for anyone involved in language testing and assessment.

After hosting the 45th edition of the conference at the University of Innsbruck last year, our team enjoyed the discussions and presentations on the conference theme “Language Assessment in Multicultural Contexts: West Meets East” at Chulalongkorn University.

  • Kathrin Eberharter attended the ILTA executive board meeting in her role as member-at-large.
  • Benjamin Kremmel hosted a networking dinner as well as the Newcomer Session.
  • Benjamin Kremmel also co-presented a work-in progress paper with Luke Harding (Language Testing Research Group Lancaster) on LAL needs in different regional contexts,
  • as well as a paper with Doris Moser-Frötscher (co-authored with Eva Konrad and Keri Hartman) on the digital communication behaviour of migrants.
  • Doris Moser-Frötscher furthermore presented a paper on her work with Stefanie Hollenstein and Robert Hilbe from PH St Gallen on Standard Setter Cognition.

We enjoyed many high-quality presentations, useful feedback and comments on our own work, and it was wonderful to (re-)connect with many friends.
