Highly sensitive method for trace analysis

Description of the method

Laser spectroscopy allows the absorption properties of materials to be measured with high sensitivity: it is possible to carry out experiments across a wide wavelength range, from the ultraviolet to the mid- and far-infrared spectral regions. It is suitable for the analysis of solids, liquids and gases.

Examples of applications

  • Material characterisation
  • Trace analysis
  • Investigation of the properties of atoms, molecules and solids
