Together with project partners, planners, energy consultants, and industry experts, we discussed how an integrated planning process can support the renovation of apartment buildings with heat pumps.
The focus included:
- Holistic renovation planning for multi-family residential buildings
- Heat pump integration and heating system transformation
- Comparison of options as a basis for informed decisions
- Costs, CO₂ reduction, GWP assessment, and noise emissions
- Further development of practical training materials and tools based on user feedback
Our goal was to integrate research and practice: The participants’ feedback now helps us tailor the KnowHowHP Toolbox and future training formats even better to the requirements of real-world application. Using a simplified version of the toolbox, participants already had the opportunity to compare different renovation options and experience the benefits of an integrated planning process.
With the Train-the-Trainer format, we are laying the groundwork to embed knowledge about sustainable renovation, integrated planning, and heat pump systems into education and training programs for the long term.
