Andreas Rumpfhuber is an architect and architectural theorist. His research focuses on the changing aesthetic practice of architecture in relation to new economies.  He is the author and editor of Architektur immaterieller Arbeit (Turia und Kant, Vienna: 2013), The Design of Scarcity (Strelka, London, 2013), Modelling Vienna, Real Fictions in Social Housing (Turia und Kant, Vienna: 2015), Wunschmaschine Wohnanlage (Sonderzahl, Vienna: 2016), Into the Great Wide Open (DPR, Barcelona: 2017), among others.

Andreas Rumpfhuber has been a guest and substitute professor at the Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel, the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart, the TU Wien and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, among others.
