Sophia Pfanner

A native of Vorarlberg, Sophia Pfanner decided to pursue a bachelor’s degree in international economics at the University of Innsbruck after graduating from a vocational school for business and economics (HLW). She specialized in accounting and auditing. During her year abroad at Copenhagen Business School, Sophia’s interest in corporate sustainability reporting—the topic of her current dissertation—was sparked.

Sophia has been part of our team at the Institute of Accounting, Taxation, and Auditing since fall 2023—first as a student assistant and, since October 2024, as a university assistant. In addition to her research, she contributes particularly through organizing and teaching the consolidated financial reporting module.
