The Summer School AGUNTUM is aimed at students of classical and ancient study programs who are interested in the history of the Eastern Alps and the Roman times and who would like to gain experience in archaeological excavation, archaeological documentation and the processing of discovered material.

Qualification profile

Participants will

  • gain an overview over the history of the Eastern Alps in Roman Time
  • gain practical experience in archaeological excavation
  • gain practical experience in the processing of discovered material
  • learn scientific documentation techniques (drawing, photography, photogrammetry, SfM 3D)
  • document and interpret stratigraphic data on archaeological finds
