The Unit of Applied Mechanics is devoted to the advancement of research in structural dynamics and soil dynamics. Amongst others, the Unit of Applied Mechanics contributes to the fields of earthquake engineering, structural control, linear and non-linear structural modeling in a dynamic environment, and structural assessment and health-monitoring. Specific research topics are carried out in cooperation with corporations and consulting firms.
