Thesis Award 2026
This year, the Research Area Scientific Computing will again award a prize for an outstanding master's and doctoral thesis in the field of scientific computing with a focus on high-performance computing, preferably with a strong interdisciplinary orientation. The prize goes to
- master's thesis (EUR 500)
- doctoral thesis (EUR 1000)
completed at the University of Innsbruck in 2025 (deadline: day of defensio) and related to the research area scientific computing (e.g. in the sense of computational engineering, computer science or high performance computing). The application process is open until July 3, 2026. Please send your application (letter of application, a PDF of the original thesis and a PDF o fthe diploma) in electronic form to veranstaltung-fsp-sc@uibk.ac.at. The prize will be awarded at the Day of Scientific Computing on October 21, 2026.
