Venue

Efforts are undertaken to make the meeting a reasonably priced meeting by offering all the facilities of the Institute of Botany, Sternwartestrasse 15, Innsbruck Austria (lecture halls, poster rooms, microscopy rooms, Botanical Garden).

Travel

Public transport facilities allow easy access by car, train and plain. This comprises in-town access to Innsbruck Airport (repeated flights every day to Frankfurt (Germany), Vienna) as well as fast train and bus connections to many central European cities in Italy, Germany and Switzerland and train and bus connections to nearby airports in Austria (Vienna, Salzburg) and Germany (Munich). Delays in arrival when crossing national state borders can happen.

If you arrive from outside the Schengen European Union Area: Please check your travel requirements (potential necessary visa formalities and deadlines) with the Austrian Embassy in your home country. With mailing copies/scans of the requested documents (frequently evidence of your employment in your home country if not evident from internet) we can send you an invitation letter for the conference (keep in mind that this is no immediate acceptance of your scientific contribution).

Hints for finding accommodation

In the city of Innsbruck and the near surrounding villages (Igls, Rum, Natters, Mutters, Götzens) a large number of accommodation facilities from hotels, pensions, private rooms to youth hostels are available which can be found at  www.innsbruck.info/en. (from places around town transport is best for the villages named above – however somewhat higher transport fees may apply). Please, book well in advance since the conference period is still part of the main touristic season in town.
