In the web-based administration system LFU:online, students can enroll in programs, register for courses, access examination results, print certificates and see all their data. "These services can now be accessed more easily via smartphone", says Günther Polig of the Zentraler Informatikdienst, the university's IT department. "As with all websites of the university, the contents of LFU:online are now also optimized for mobile devices." This is in keeping with today's trends as more and more users access the internet from their phones and tablets. The service portal LFU:online was introduced in 2006 and offers all students access to important university administrative processes.
