The talk will discuss how Donald Trump was again elected president, the implications for U.S. government, and what to expect in the upcoming 2026 midterm elections. Professor Perry will share findings from his recent book, The 2024 Presidential Election: Key Dynamics and Issues (Palgrave, 2025), which emphasizes the role of state/local dynamics in understanding how successful candidates win the Electoral College vote.
