Join us on a visit to the cradle of the thaler and the dollar - in Hall in Tirol!
Welcome Service Tirol would like to invite you to the Hall Mint Museum at the medieval Hasegg Castle in Hall in Tirol on 17 November 2023!
The Hall Mint is a place of world history. It was there that the silver coin "Guldiner" was minted in 1486, a coin that was imitated throughout Europe and later became famous as the thaler. Likewise, in 1571 the Hall mint was the first place in the world to mint coins industrially. During our guided tour through the museum, we will learn exciting facts about the production of coins, the importance of the Hall Mint and how its history is even connected to the world's reserve currency, the dollar.
After this impressive journey into the past, we will enjoy a relaxed get-together (Stammtisch) with food and drinks in the nearby restaurant Bretze at Hall!
We look forward to your participation! Partners are also welcome!
