Cluster Initiative Projects

Among the main grant activities for achieving the goals of the project is the Analytic Theology Cluster Initiative. It aims at fostering a tight collaboration between professional philosophers and theologians. At present, philosophers are often exposed to various theological figures during their training, but they are rarely exposed to the tools of theological inquiry in systematic ways. Similarly, theologians often have little exposure to the tools of philosophical inquiry. One way to remedy this defect is to motivate and support the formation of interdisciplinary research groups which

  • bring philosophers and theologians together for regular conversation on a topic of mutual interest in or related to analytic theology,
  • motivate particular outcomes that have lasting impact in each participant’s primary discipline, and
  • provide additional financial resources (e.g. from the home institution of the group) for outside speakers who are proficient scholars of the project topic to meet with the group.

Details about the application can be found here.
